Consider rhythm and everyday life together
School, childcare, working hours, travel and regular activities all affect how well a rhythm works. Look at complete weeks rather than isolated handover days.
Understand common alternating schedules
Weekly and fortnightly changes create longer blocks. 2-2-3, 2-2-5-5 and 3-4-4-3 distribute changes differently. Predominant and individual rhythms can also be represented.
Plan exceptions separately
Holidays, travel or special dates do not need to alter the base rhythm permanently. Time-limited exceptions are clearer when confirmed separately.
