PRIMUS Power Gas 230 g

For a multi-day tour with a tent, the gas cartridge, along with the stove and pot, should be part of the cooking reserve as a consumable item: It allows you to have hot water in the morning and a simple warm meal in the evening without having to rely on open shops. The Power Gas 230 g fits the existing MSR PocketRocket 2 with its screw valve according to EN 417. One cartridge is usually the practical starting quantity for short camping trips; On long journeys, with two people or when cooking regularly, a second, unopened cartridge makes more sense than estimating the range. The cartridge weighs a full 390 g and takes up a noticeable amount of space due to its 108 mm diameter, so it is best to store it upright, protected from pressure and separated from sharp-edged tools in a frame or saddle bag. With typical prices around 7-10 euros, it is a cheap item that can be purchased regularly. Check fill level and valve before departure; Do not leave empty cartridges on site.
