MSR PocketRocket 2 stove

For overnight stays, the stove belongs in the cooking corner of the packing list along with the cartridge, pot and lighter.
The MSR PocketRocket 2 is intended for bikepacking tours with camping or bivouac, when coffee in the morning, a warm meal in the evening or quick hot water in cool weather is more important than planning to eat only cold food. At 73 g, it makes sense for an ultra-light setup and only takes up around 161 ml of packing space when folded; It therefore fits safely into a small pot or a frame bag. For a weekend trip, a small gas stove is usually sufficient, provided cartridges are available along the way. Cartridge, pot and igniter are not included and must be planned separately. In strong winds the flame needs a sheltered place; A windshield must not completely enclose a screw cartridge. With a realistic price of around 50 euros, the stove is moderately rated: significantly lighter than cheap complete sets, but without their cookware.
